The local IT&C industry needs more companies to develop and supply IT products globally in order to reach the next level, believes Bogdan Ciubotaru, managing partner in the Romanian company Aliant – IT integrator and digital transformation service provider, with business of 12.6 million euros in 2022.

"Romania is an important IT hub, but the next level is to have local incubation of IT products with global potential. I think that Romania needs to develop its local R&D (research and development) capabilities, made by Romanian companies, which at some point in the future can become unicorns. We already have examples of good steps taken in this direction, but not enough. There is a need for support programs on the innovation side in all sectors, including IT", Bogdan Ciubotaru, managing partner, Aliant, told ZF.ro
